About Us

Founded in 1986 by Rick and Angela Shimer, Blackhawk Audio, Inc. started from simple beginnings as a small local sound reinforcement provider. Throughout our 19 year history we have had many wide and varied sound system rental and installation experiences.

Corporate experience has included clients such as Opryland Productions, Walt Disney World Entertainment, Coke, Honda, Nissan, Toyota, GM and a host of others.

National Television experience includes The CMA Awards, The Dove Awards, The GMA Awards, The Stellar Awards and CMT's 100 Greatest Love Songs just to name a few.

We have been involved in festivals from WeFest in Detroit Lakes, MN to One Festival in Memphis, TN to Live Stock in Tampa, FL to Creation East and West to providing SIM services for The Montreux Jazz Festival in Montreux Switzerland.

Blackhawk Audio has fielded tours for a number of artists including Carman, Avalon, Annointed, Montreux Jazz Festival on Tour, Newsboys, Gary Allen, Cece Winans and several mini tours with Confederate Railroad and Joe Diffie plus a number of others.

While this is only a small list of the total projects and clients Blackhawk Audio has served over the last 19 years, it is a glimpse into the diversity of experience we provide to every client we serve.
